The mission of The Butterfly of Life® is "To promote cancer awareness and support cancer research and education in efforts for a cure. We are committed to offering fine jewelry that cancer survivors and supporters can personalize and wear to support awareness, education and research. Our purpose is to raise money to support a cancer cure and carry out our designer's vision."

The Butterfly of Life® was designed by Rita Willaert, from St. Peter, Minnesota. Willaert worked in sales for over 10 years at an independent jewelry store, Exclusively Diamonds, located in Mankato, Minnesota. Willaert's passion for fine jewelry and drive to promote cancer awareness and education inspired The Butterfly of Life®.

New Survivor Story

DONNA'S STORY

In 2007 I was in an airplane accident that saved my life. After being life flighted, they did a CT of the abdomen which showed a 13cm mass on my kidney. Two months later, I had my nephrectomy. Then I started a support group for Renal Cancer patients. And now I am chairman of my community's Relay For Life. I am determined that we will beat cancer!
